The past
In 1936 Salvatore Serafini met Francesco Lombi: it has been a very important meeting! At that time Salvatore had a foods wholesale, and yeast among them; Francesco, ex-baker used to travel around as teacher of fresh yeast utilization on behalf of Eridania ( famous yeast producer), in order to present this revolutionary product. The professional relationship between Salvatore and Francesco is consolidated into a deep friendship thanks also to Teresa, Francesco’s daughter, that traced at the Croce Rossa Internazionale of Rome, Salvatore’s son, Umberto, missing in War. At the end of the second world war Salvatore and Francesco died but the two young sons Teresa and Umberto met again during the first collection of yeast to be distributed in Europe. Between them a deep friendship arises, soon turned into love. In 1949 they got married and together continue and consolidate their parents activity. Nowadays, after the Umberto Serafini death in 1971 and after more than 70 years of hard work in this field, Serafini Company is now in its fourth generation. Thanks to the work of Antonio and Rita Maria, Umberto and Teresa’s sons, and of their spouses Elisabetta and Roberto, thanks also to the work of Teresa Lombi and from 1999 of Valentino, Antonio and Elisabetta’s son, today Serafini Umberto Distribuzione Freschi represents one of the most important reality in central Italy for the fresh food distribution.

The present
Serafini Umberto Distribuzione Freschi S.r.l. is a Company that dedicated more than 70 years to the Distribution, Transportation and Storage of frozen and ultra frozen products. Thanks to many years of experience our Company is able to offer a range of services able to supply products for any warehouse, iper market, super market (G.D & D.O.), bakery, bar, pastry shop, restaurant, traditional grocery store and all the other commercial categories not mentioned involved in frozen food. Thanks to its fleet consisting on 25 vehicles pidi with capacities ranging from 3,5 to 6 m.t., we can satisfy all the customer needs. Using high level technology we are also able to provide:
•the remote monitoring of each shipment;
•real-time control of the car and the temperature of his chest;
•inventory management wi-fi;
•preparation of goods by packing list;
•optical scanning of all documents;
•identification of all documents through bar-code.

The above description gives us the possibility of ensure a remarkably high quality standard.
